A unique hideaway, in a magical location

Aspen Lodge is a luxury hideaway tucked into a hillside on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula overlooking Loch Sunart, in the remote Scottish Highlands. The house enjoys panoramic views of the loch, wild moorland and hills beyond, and features a large garden with streams and waterfalls.

By day there are ancient woodlands, a lighthouse, glorious sandy beaches and castles to discover, trails to trek and cycle, boat trips, kayaking and more. By night, enjoy a barbecue under the dark sky, an evening curled up in front of the open fire, or unwind in one of the Lodge’s spa baths.

“Out of every window there is a spectacular view and so much to see and do – spot wildlife in the garden, kayak on the loch, then there’s the walking, cycling and boating all close by. You are remote here – get away from it all and hole up with a book or a film around the fire or light a BBQ in the summer and settle into watch the stars once dusk settles in”

The house is full of light and space and so thoughtfully planned for easy but luxurious use. No detail is spared and we were very well looked after. A beautiful house in the most beautiful of places!"

"This was our first visit and after a long drive from the South Coast, I really hoped the house and the area lived up to expectations - especially as I was responsible for the booking! Happy to say, it all did! Kids screamed with delight when they arrived and this pretty much set the tone for the holiday. We all had a fabulous time - exploring the stunning remote gems of the area. Grandma had just as much fun as the kids so just proves the house and region can cater for all ages and abilities. Have throughly recommended you to our friends"

"Arriving in aspen lodge you can't quite believe how beautiful it is. The view from the magnificent windows is spectacular whatever the weather. In fact it makes you hope for a little rain so you can snuggle by the fire and enjoy the ever changing scene. Everything is perfect"

Safe & Clean

We are very much looking forward to re-opening Aspen Lodge on 10 July. We would like to thank all of our guests for working with us, and being so understanding in these difficult and uncertain times.

We would like to reassure you that we have tailored our response to the pandemic with the safety of our guests and housekeeping team being our main priority. In particular:

  1. Our property managers have undertaken specific contamination training to ensure that their cleaning products and techniques are as thorough and advanced as possible, and specifically tailored for eradicating germs.
  2. In accordance with the government cleaning advice for non-healthcare environments and the industry guidance for self-catering accommodation, hard surfaces within the house will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, and all linen is laundered appropriately.
  3. Our house brochure and welcome letter are provided in electronic format only – which guests may download and read at their leisure.
  4. We have always provided handwash for our guests at the lodge, and we have now added hand sanitiser and gloves. We would ask guests to bring their own masks please.
  5. We have been deemed Good to Go by Visit Britain, which indicates that we are following government and industry guidelines, and have a process in place to maintain cleanliness and comply with government guidelines.
